It is 4years today 8/07/2009,you fell into a coma and I watched you close your eyes forever, this morning I have been thinking of events of that day. The day you left this world, the day you left your twin daughters, your wife and your last born, Micheal, you loved so much and Uche. Your wife kept crying, holding your bed and asking you, where are you going? My tears are smearing my makeup. I still have that video I made of you, after Michael hinted to me that, this could be your last birthday and Christmas, when you were gisting with us in the living room how, as a kid you slapped a white man from behind and took to your heels and the whole village started chasing you. We laughed so hard; it is so beautiful and I am glad I made it. It is all I have of you. My Father, Professor E.J Nwosu, (O gi chi anyi isi of Abba, Knight of St Mulumba, 1980 Marquis winner of, Who’s Who in the World, the list is endless).. Your library upstairs is still as you left it, yours was a world of books, publications, journals, papers etc, Forgive me but I have been looking for that very first book you bought with your meager money, at the airport in Germany, where you went to school, with the title, “One of those things”...I never asked you, what attracted you to that kind of title? Dont be mad if I see it & take it from the shelf. Your children promised you, we shall live your legacy, I don’t know about the academic part but the “living by the truth, integrity, honor, selflessness, hard work, excellence and above all, Godly life”. We are doing our best dad, to live that promise. It is a difficult world, especially with your absence. I remember the last wordings of my tribute,” That Nature Herself will stand and say to the world …this was a MAN”. Continue to rest with the Lord, My Father…you are so much Loved.
